S.M. is a Florida based rapper with a backpack street sound similar to J. Cole, King Los, and Big Sean. Born in the low income section of Daytona Beach the son of a painter and a poet (who real name is Richard Hobson) would unleash his own craft with his 2004 debut
project titled YAH HEARD vol. 1. Despite the poor production the project had few stand out tracks & remix’s. One in particular was a record called "f*ck 50" that made circulation through the blogs and got him radio play on some prominent online radio stations. Within
a year and a half time S.M. managed to land two label offers for himself. One was from a local indie label 80 Prof. & the other from So So Def Records (which came by a lucky encounter with the daughter of the A & R at the time). In addition to the 2 label offers he also managed to catch the attention of Atlanta’s Talent Unlimited who agreed to shop his demo. Not long after and now signed independently to his own imprint called Premiere Records Music Group S.M. would go to work and later release his 2012 acclaimed mix-tape " KINDA SORTA ALMOST FAMOUS". Now K.S.A.F. would be S.M. best body of work to date it featured a medley of records spanning from pop to street to lyrical. The project was lead though by its upbeat and powerful first single appropriately titled "FAMOUS". Not to be out done S.M.came back with second follow up single "KILL EM "featuring two local Daytona artist Project Pain & Daytona Jit. Both singles were perceived well and spread like wildfire. Steadily working S.M. would come back with his 2014 release "SELECT 10" which featured all new music and ownership of his TEAM 2 LETTAZ growing empire.
